With the right video treatment, the song could actually do wonders for this album campaign. Given that she "brings it", we'll likely witness a return-to-form after her recent misfire. I'm confident Capitol will do all they can to ensure this is a success.
It's so unapologetically corny and somewhat brash, which actually makes the song sound kind of cool. And to an extent, the anecdotal lyrics do resemble her writing style from One of the Boys more than anything else from PRISM or the last record.
How this pans out will be interesting. A lot of people are doubting its potential, but I wouldn't count it out completely just yet.
i don't understand why they aren't releasing legendary lovers.. i can see This Is How We Do have a similar run as Birthday. They're playing it wayyy too safe
This era has literally no logic. At all. I don't understand. It's still better than Birthday but the GP doesn't want generic / obvious stuff from her anymore.
Way too safe as usual, the kind of single that will be forgotten 6 months after its release.
At her level, she really should start to take some risks...

I don't think so. People said that for Last Friday Night but it's still fave Katy's bop for lots of people.
This Is How We Do is a fab track! It will do well, it's accessible and catchy. I think Legendary Lovers should have been the next single, then This is How We Do, but I'm not complaining. As long as LL gets a release I'm happy. I think TIHWD will go top 3 easily! I wouldn't rule out a number 1.
Why is this era a mess? Two massive number one singles and an album that has sold well and still charting!
