What's it like teaching? My brother's ex-wife is a preschool teacher, but other than that, I don't know any educators.

I would much rather prep for one class of 30 than two classes, different subjects (AP and standard), with 15 students each.

True but imo that'll help you become better as a teacher. If you can tackle that, you can tackle anything really. Hopefully you have some really experienced AP teachers there or that you know to be the best you can with them. One of the only reasons why I loved my AP US class so much was cause he's been teaching it for years and he also goes every year to grade them.

There is no "better teacher" during the first year.

The question with first year teachers is how badly they will crash and burn.
