I love Hip Hop, I love Pop, I love it all.

I love all of the different sides to Nicki. But lets be honest here, there was no sense of direction with RR, at first glance it was supposed to be a Roman album but for some reason it didn't turn out that way.

The album had a lot of great bops, but just because you can bop to a song doesn't make it a good song (quality wise).

I partially agree, because it ruins the flow of the album, but I completely respect Nicki for changing her sound. Every artist needs to evolve, otherwise they would become boring.

I didn't mind the fact that she changed her sound. I was actually excited that she was diving into Pop music. It was the fact that she combined both Hip Hop & Pop onto one disc that made it hard to digest.

But I look at it like RR wasn't meant to be taking seriously. It was a fun album like she described from day 1. Not every album has to be real, deep, and emotional. There are only 5-7 "bad" songs out of 22.

Yeah. Going from SITL to Starships is kinda weird. lol
With PF:RR, she tried to please all her fans, and that worked for some, but for some it didn't. And I agree if they were two separate CDs, they could have worked better.

This is how I expected the album to sound, due to Roman being the so called focus. But he wasn't. Like Nicki said herself the album lacked focus.

& with the split between the album, there was the fun side & then there was the supposedly crazy/weird side. Which didn't mesh well together.

When that happened, I was confused because I couldn't figure out the direction.

Starships= EDM Dance Pop
MM/YF= Soft Pop/Ballads
Roman Holiday/Stupid Hoe/RIM= Aggressive/Crazy Hip Hop

It all left me trying to understand the direction.

For the Hip Hop tracks, it's actually funny, because Roman Holiday, Stupid Hoe, and Come On A Cone were the only 3 songs that really showed what Nicki said Roman was. All the other tracks were regular Nicki songs.

Basically, Roman left the album & came back to close it with SH.
