My point was triggers exists everywhere. And when it comes down to it, it's about artistic vision and weather or not the artist has some legitimate they want to communicate... if that means they want to release a video alluding to something uncomfortably taboo then fine. I mean the video for Your Body had Xtina going on some wild serial killer manhunt, does that allude or condone murder? Or make murder look "edgy"? No. Of course not, it's all done in satire.

A certain group of people? A certain group of people? Yes, those pesky rape victims are too sensitive...? That's a horrible thing to say. Someone's artistic vision should not offend rape victims. Period. And of course Lady Gaga doesn't condone rape. She's a good person. But there's a difference between condoning it and alluding to it to be edgy, whether it was intentional or misinterpreted. There's a difference between intention and interpretation. What her intentions were won't matter to the GP. What will matter is how it's perceived by the GP.

It was a general statement. We have pop videos, television shows, movies, books that either insinuate or even outright show rape, torture, murder etc... what matters is context. But ultimately I'd/we'd need to see the full video to see what exactly Gaga was trying to communicate. And no... I don't honestly think she should care (anyone should care) how their work is interpreted. It ultimately her own vision and if people don't understand or misinterpret the narrative or point that's not something LG should really concern herself with, nobody understood Kubrick or Lynch but hey, did they care? No. (Not saying Gaga's the next Kubrick but you know what I mean) In this case it looks like she gave up on that vision for just that... fear of how the GP would react to it.
And I'm sorry if my earlier statements offended you. It wasn't my intention in the slightest...
