I don't think Gaga thought the video was the problem, according to the source, she would have released it if all the stuff about R. Kelly's past and Terry Richardson's alleged past hadn't been dug back up around that time.

I agree with what you're saying, I just don't think Gaga saw the final cut and said "Oh damn, that doesn't look as sexy/fun as I thought it would. Betta not release it!"
