Damn, I didn't know that he attracted so many people But I'm not surprised, people love JT here in Russia. Russia is very profitable for concert tours, people will buy the tickets no matter how expensive they are. I remember when Gaga grossed almost 5 mil. $ with 14k attendance. Too bad, that pop stars won't come here anymore because of that anti-gay propaganda law
I wonder why some artists report 100% gross when the show obviously didn't sell out (not just Gaga, even though she's the one who did it this go around). Like who controls that? The management or the tour promoters?

Different artists generally make different numbers of tickets available in the same venues due to their stage size and shape and preferred methods of seating for certain sections (standing GA vs floor seats). You also can't judge based on how many people show up, because that doesn't really line up with which tickets were actually purchased.
