Not surprising. Lifetime would probably make a terrible movie. And the Haughton family have always denied the rights to Aaliyah's music for people who want to make biopics. This has been going on for longer than 10 years now.

There was big TMZ mess last year about the rights to her music, publishers suing one another and her Uncle had nothing to do with it. You sure his dumbass didnt sell the rights?

Not if they're going to cover those things anyway. If those skeletons ARE to be released, I'd MUCH rather it be done by a prestigious Hollywood director/in Hollywood and be raw and real and amazing than in the sugar coating, corny TV movie way. Depending on the movie, they could make it really raw and great in the Hollywood sense.

You are correct but every time baby girl is brought up in any capacity, they are right there ready to dismiss it. They and the media have been going around and around for I don't know how long and it's just tired now.

!!!!!!!! Especially not for a FIRST and ONLY biopic...when the family has always been kind of opposed to it anyway. If they are going to do one, they'd much rather it be a serious, prestigious director, academy award nominated, what's love to do with it type of amazing movie. He just did a interview not to long ago talking about putting out another Aaliyah album next year which is mainly why he doesn't want this movie to be made because he has his own agenda and has always been a snake in the grass. Clearly her parents don't own the rights they just get paid what she would have gotten paid if she was still alive but her Uncle always ran the show. Because if it was up to them there would have never been the I care 4 U album but since its up to him he released it anyway and didn't care what her parents wanted.

I don't how to feel. As a major fan of her music I really want this! It's been is long and I want her legacy to continue. At the same time, this is her family...If they want their daughter portrayed right, then that's there wish. I just there was a mutual understanding between her family and every creative team out there who wants Aaliyah out there.
