Most of the arguments happen in threads that are typically speaking of positive things going on in the trans community, and members being negative and/or hateful. And you can't be surprised at members responding to that. It's not about "making noise".
Thank you to whichever mod it was that deleted Miami's insensitive and ignorant comments about trans people. That was pure and transparent evidence of Giselle's point and it has no place in HQ.

Majority of the time, ya'll complain about the vulgar and explicit warnings. Like clearly most of you are hypocrites by definition for those and yet you want to claim social issues are not appropriate?

The only thing that can be done about it is to report those comments as insensitive. Hopefully all the mods will warn them accordingly. No discussion or argument on ATRL is not going to educate or change the minds of ignorant people who seem to have such a difficult time with something as basic as using "she" and/or "he" when required.

We can only dream so much. Everyday there's a new ignorant topic (targeting either trans people, other races, ethnicity, homelessness, etc). It's all part of having a young (and in some particular cases not very mature) community.
