I think it's a bit of both. Aside from early morning radio and tv appearances, there's been no promo for the song, so I do think it needs more exposure. Although, it's also a time of year where people have parties, cookouts, or simply wanna get high/drunk and chill, and PNP is not the one.

I love it, but it's a very niche song that you need to be in the right mood to bop to.
High School was such a perfect summer urban single. I can't get over how much potential it had.

I honestly believe if it was the first single to TPP it would smash. Oh well, all we can do is look forward.

Sam Smith and Adele are vocal powerhouses. that's why their songs smash regardless of season. Lana? No offense but, where's West Coast?
Starships smashed like beginning of spring, and carried through until July.
