A performance on Letterman is not a huge thing when it comes to sales. Lana releasing a video for SOC for example, would do the same, maybe even a bigger effect, but they clearly have to do something for the US, since she is in Europe right now.
Regrdless if No.1 or 2, she did amazing so far. Everybody wrote her off already, I remeber some posts in SYG where somebody posted she will be around No.80 before the album drops. Fun times.
