Teenagers for me is kind of like a song that Teenagers listened to (and MCR in general) like holyground said was a "rebellious" group. I know it didn't fit the idea of conceptually being popular amongst teens, but the reality is it is popular in that demo
I will say however the song wasn't a outstandingly popular song like Crank That or Call me Maybe, but Teens definitely listened to those songs. I guess its fair game to be near the bottom
