Do you think Adele is going to sell over 26 mil albums for Album 3? If not, will we consider that a backlash?
Taylor became the only woman to sell over 1 mil copies in a week twice with "Red" . So, she'll go down in the record books. Even if that record is ever repeated, she'll still be the "First Female".
If you watched Ed's documentary. He said "the second album makes or breaks an artist". It determines if you are career artist or just a one hit wonder. It doesn't matter if you sell less albums after that. Taylor's been in the game for 8 years now and probably more popular now then during the "Fearless" era. So there's going to be more scrutiny.
