And I agree with toanythingtaboo too, hence why I suggested (as well as current hitmaker DJ Snake) she work with experienced producers/songwriters, Rubin and RedOne.

Working with songwriters (not young DJ producers who have, on occasion, written a decent hook) will help bring a creative dialogue and challenge her to push much further. They'll also help her evolve her sound.

At the end of the day ARTPOP is amazing, BTW is amazing, TFM is amazing and TF is amazing. Other artist could only wish for this kind of quality discography. I mean, what she has done since the start of her career is remarkable.

This 'underperformance' is not a bad thing either. I mean, she can't be #1 all the time. I think this era really gave Gaga what she needed to start over again. I truly believe the next one will blow our minds.

ARTPOP has great melodies and fantastic hooks, but has no theme and unfortunately the album goes no where. It is even a step down from her debut album. Gaga talked up her DJ game, as well as her ability to step outside e box. ARTPOP isn't outside the box. It isn't exactly in either. It's more like something trying to get into the box but denying it wants to be there.


The lyrics on ARTPOP are probably some of her worst (with some good ones). I'd love for Gaga to really focus on a theme again..whether it is in the visuals or the material. Something organic and cohesive. But everyone makes mistakes and ARTPOP was one. Still rooting for her because she's extremely talented and one mediocre album out of 4 isn't really so bad.

ARTPOP has good music but no theme. Each song is either good to incredible and is probably her best collection of songs, but without a theme it's not her best album. That's the problem. All the other albums had a theme, both lyrically and sonically.
