Who else would make sense? Yes there are probably a few plot holes if you go back and re-watch, but for the most part, Dan being GG makes complete sense and really supports the overall theme of the show.
Look at something like PLL where they've messed everything up so much and explored every plot possible that no matter who they choose to be A, it won't make any sense and there'll be a million different plot holes.
