Comparing to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Mine is much better lyrically, I think for me, musically Mine also wins. But commercially WANEGBT wins, all the people including my co-workers remember the key-word, similar situation as "Let It Go". Lead single from LP5 still should be this kind of song eliminating the hates.

Well she released IKYWT and WANEGBT before Red released and people said she completely alienated her country audience, and it still did amazingly. I doubt it'll have that huge of an impact on her sales.

Taylor's hype and jokes always have to do with an album, for example, "Taylor Swift just broke up yesterday.. new album tomorrow".
Her album release is usually always an event in the industry. If she has the right lead single that isn't too pop but has just the right amount to prove that she still has substance, she'll do 1m first week.
LP5 is gonna be up for pre-orders anyways, right? Everyone's been doing that with their albums since last year. I think most people are gonna pre-order the album even if they don't know what it'll sound like. So there's also that.
