I was thinking about starting it...But damn...it took me a month to watch all of Lost (that has like 20 less episodes)
Compared to other shows like Charmed and Supernatural (both kind of awful), Buffy had less seasons and the first season had half the episodes of the other seasons. (11 instead of 21/22)
