They're not masterpieces. I think people are only calling them masterpieces due to the controversy behind them and/or the number of views.

I actually love the video, its kinda futuristic and the graphics are cool to me. The only part I would complain about is the obvious product placement for Beats.

I mean, I know she was busy & didn't want to reshoot the video. But she knew the song was a fan favorite, it won the poll on her website, meaning it would have to be a single eventually. Over an entire year, she could have found time to reshoot the video, with a better direction.
