The overly dark religious imagery, and Judas, EC, BM, BJ AF, were a bit much for one pop album
And she went overboard with everything visually, and got annoying for people who are just casual pop buyers.

Well, in terms of my faves, I'm glad Madonna wasn't written off after Erotica...nor Britney after Circus. Let's give Gaga a chance to prove herself. She deserves that much.

But it's not just Summer 2013. My point is that people have been sick of her since the latter half of the BTW era. The only time the GP truly enjoyed her was TF/TFM. The reason I personally think she will never ascend back to the top of the pop food chain is because people don't miss her. She ruined any chance of that with her ARTPOP antics.
