BTW was fine, there was no way in hell she was going to replicate the Fame Monster success anyway.

As an era, it was pretty good. It had its iconic moments, good music videos, typical Gaga moments and it was pretty well managed. A little bit of controversy here and there, little bit of pretentious art talk on the side and all was going well.

ARTPOP is just a complete **** up in every way imaginable. Nothing has been done right.

If anything, BTW was the reason she's still relevant. She aligned herself totally as the champion for the gays. If anybody in the GP were to be asked who's the most celebrated popgirl among gays, she'd be their first they'd think of.

I don't even like Gaga, but I can't deny that she had a 2-year period where everything she did was untouchable and that everything everyone else did was compared to her.

Exactly. Not to mention with the whole Born Brave bus thing and the constant "you were born this way" promo actually helped a lot of typical Little Monsters freaks accept themselves.

I mean, I don't see anyone being happier about them actually leaving their house and being courageous enough to show themselves to the world, but I guess it's the greater good.

I, for one, used to hate Gaga before Applause came out. I never listened to any of her music and had none of her songs in my iPod. I even bought Applause and DWUW and now I have all of her albums. If she keeps up with the good and catchy music and stops acting like a dumbass, she can still be really successful.

I also know many people who would be so ashamed of listening to Lady Gaga but they admitted to liking Applause and some of my friends would randomly tweet about it last year.

Nnnnn, I agree a little, but BTW was the problem

The overly dark religious imagery, and Judas, EC, BM, BJ AF, were a bit much for one pop album

And she went overboard with everything visually, and got annoying for people who are just casual pop buyers.

all the singles after BTW should have done 2X better
