I've learned that the lyrics can make me enjoy a song that doesn't have a interesting melody/production though. For example, I used to hate All Too Well when Red came out. After approximately 1 year, I went to search for its lyrics and fell in love with it. It's now my favorite all time song from her.

Lyrics don't have that effect on me. They can make a great song even better, but if a song is already average or bad then it doesn't really matter to me what they're saying.
