Why is there a theory on this forum that Kanye is bigger than Jay. Jay got a huge hit with Holy Samsung and his latest albums went platinum, some double.
I feel like Jay is now more of an entrepreneur than a musician at this point but yeah he's bigger overall.
I don't even think MCHG would have went plat without the deal.
It is certified double platinum cuz of the deal but outside of it the album moved 1.3 million copies. Blueprint 3 is also at 2 million sales, not shipments so idk where you get that idea. Jay sold more albums and had a bigger hit than Kanye but Kanye is bigger just cuz you want him to?
