I like R&B more than pop.
And my sisters always listen to Bey's pop songs like Halo or If I Were A Boy for example and I get to hear them a lot.
And I listened to Sweet Dreams SO SO SOOO much back then.

If the BET Awards troll and give it to Iggy, I'll laugh. She'll be the first white artist to win in the Best Hip-Hop Artist (Male or Female), a feat that Eminem couldn't even pull off with his one nomination.

It would upset though, no lie, since the only thing Iggy has going right now for her is success. Nicki has acclaim for her new look and her new music (both her officially released music and her free music) and well-received performances at both Summer Jam and Powerhouse. There lowkey is no reason for Iggy to win unless success is the only part of the equation and I doubt it is (despite Nicki winning four consecutive awards, she still had the year on lock in general during each year).

But, alas, I know I am late to discussing this topic which a bunch of y'all will label tired... Can't wait for PnP to reach the Top 40 next week.

A #1 single on Top 40 shouldn't be relevant to an urban award show. BET is about hip-hop/RnB and Nicki has been serving to the hip-hop gods for over the past year. Even in 2012, she still served with Beez and RBMS.

I also don't see how her winning will ignite some sort of fire. I think Nicki's been on fire, but she's focused on doing HER, not trying to compete with Katy Perry's rapping cousin.
