FF and Circus were much better albums though. That played a major factor.

What iHype is basically trying to express is that at the end of the day a white female rapper from Australia that he didn't even expect to release an album let alone debut in the US top 20 will be able to say "My album outsold Mariah Carey's project that came out in the same year" (and perhaps even Usher's new one but I'll digress for now).

People forget this, lol. Britney Jean sucks and the lead single was horribly dated and awful.

FF and Circus (this one especially) were lead by very strong singles. Womanizer, Circus, HIAM, and TTWE are all great pop songs. So it didn't necessarily matter that Knee was/is a braindead robot.
