The thing is loading screen on the base game can pretty much work smoothly. But on the long run, with expansion packs, object collections and custom content, it'll be the pits.

I played it, it's actually really fun
It's cool actually playing a story with scenarios & text telling you what's going on & stuff.

I've played it, it's the only Sims 2 game I have for Mac so I still play it to this day when I need my Sims 2 fix
It's fun but the stories weren't long enough. I finished one in less than 2 hours
