Huh? He said touring today is the same as 1990's, so I showed him the top grossing from 1990's and the top grossing from today.

Mind you we're only 4 years into this decade. #10 by the end of this decade could easily be $500 million+. So yeah, touring in the 90's was nowhere equivalent to today.

You can't really compare touring grosses from the 90s to today. MJ was selling the SAME amount of tickets as most of the touring giants today, but ticket prices were generally much cheaper.

Tours are generally much much MUCH more elaborate and expensive now than they were in the 80s and 90s.

Just look at videos - you never see any elaborate set pieces or lifts or big lighting on tours from ye olden days. Even on Madead tours.

All that stuff comes at a cost, and it's reflected in the increased ticket prices.
