Because Taylor is annoying and she puts on a facade. Also, Adele is far more reserved when it comes to her relationships. At the end of the day, I find Adele's songs to be much more superior in quality.

Oh I forget Adele is not in the media 24/7 and she is not dating celebs. She is really mysterious and the public don't know much about her personally. Tht also adds to the respects and in my opinion they are not on the same level. adele makes Amazing music and is more talented IMO

Um, All To Well, Last Kiss, Long Live, White Horse, State Of Grace, Treacherous, Innocent, Enchanted, Dear John, are all lyrically superior to both of those songs. And the list goes on.

You like all of Taylor's biggest haters continue to list the same singles and ignore the countless amazingly written songs she has released. It's sad, really

Why do you guys always have to use her most immature songs to praise Adele?
I love both of them, I have nothing against Adele,she's amazing. I mean Taylor also has mature songs she wrote when she was younger than 16: Didn't They (12-13), Cold As You (14-15), White Horse (17 and 2 Grammys for the song), Making Up For Lost Love (14 - mature for her age) Tied Together With A Smile (between 13-15) etc.

Go listen to songs like Didn't They which Taylor wrote about 9/11 when she was 12 or Brought Up That Way or Dark Blue Tennessee. Don't compare a song Adele wrote when she was 16 to a song Taylor wrote when she was in her 20s lol.

Whether or not it's true Taylor has superior songs, the question is why is Adele more respected and the answer is because of what they release.

They aren't the same age. Adele is 26 and Taylor is 24

But anyway, it's cause Taylor is seen in the public with a bunch of boyfriends, some of which are known for their highly publicized sexual lives. While Adele's life is extremely private. We only really know about two guys that she's dated and she's a mother so

Yeah, it doesn't have to mean that, but it can mean that. People have different perceptions of the words "carefree" and "fun". You don't share the same perception and that's OK.

It is because Adele has dated and written songs about someone who is not famous, so no-one really cares about him. No-one cared when Taylor wrote about unknown people she knew at school.

They are both awesome talents and their sales put everyone else's to shame. No wonder other people get jealous.

I think this is one of the few good arguments in this thread. As much as I wish people would shut up and listen to the whole album (and her unreleased songs) before judging her music, Taylor didn't help herself by releasing that song as her main single. That is definitely something she needs to change with LP5.
