Hm. Just saw this in my mentions. I really didn't think I'd laid that much into Taylor. Literally the worst I think I've ever said is that I think Taylor's music is garbage, which was once, and that was in SYG, a place I often avoid because it gets SO much more hateful than that. I've even praised her songs on numerous occasions, such as YBWM, State of Grace, and 22. I don't think I "run into every thread" involving Taylor to "spew hate" because if I'm being completely honest I don't care enough about Taylor to be that dedicated.
Yes, it's true I don't like most of her music and I have expressed this on here before, but I really don't think I've ever been particularly (or at least relatively, compared to most other users on the site toward artists to their disliking) disrespectful toward Taylor or toward any of you guys (feel free to call me out on this if I'm wrong, I've slept maybe five hours in the past two days so it's entirely possible), so I kind of feel like it's a bit ironic that you're the one saying we (the other two you mentioned and I) should grow up when you're the one cackling amongst your friends behind our backs.
But moreover, this is a music forum, a place where one of the main purposes is to share our opinions, both positive and negative, about music. If every comment on this site were positive and everyone only said nice things about every artist, this site would be a circlejerk and pointless. Dissenting opinions keep the site interesting, even when we don't agree with them. As long we don't go over the top it shouldn't be an issue.
And as I said, my brain is severely sleep deprived so I apologize in advance if this wall of text is gibberish or inaccurate. Please feel free to tl;dr.
