Shania didn't make similar music. She made music that was in the same genre (country-pop), but Taylor has explored more genres than her and she's entirely different lyrically.

My fave has never mentioned Beyonce in an interview and has never talked about her, besides the VMA incident. And Taylor has made many best-dressed list for many events throughout her career. Her 2011 dress was named second best MET GALA dress of all time. When will your fave?

And yes she is less acclaimed. Taylor has a higher average when it comes to critical acclaim (you can check Metacritic's official career average for that) and has won Album of the Year at 20 when your fave hasn't done it by 32. Nobody's embarrassing themselves except you. Just let it go.
