What people don't seem to get is, just because we don't like the album's snippets, doesn't mean we're pressed. I've been a Lana fan for a long time since Video Games, Blue Jeans and Born To Die and I absolutely love Born To Die and Born To Die: Paradise.
Those 2 albums were visually and musically amazing and they sounded epic and cinematic. I just feel like this album is a disappointment and I know these are only snippets, but I hope I'm wrong.
At first, I didn't like the new songs as I wanted her to keep the BTD-style. However, after repeated listens I like all four (promo) singles! So far, most of the snippets sound very samey and I know that I won't like some songs (like The Other Woman) BUT I do think that the album will grow on me.
What I don't like is the fact that I don't think there's a lot of single potential. I do unterstand that it's not Lana's goal to score hits but if you want your album to keep selling, you need hits.
