Nobody would it even offer it a Vegas residency, they have enough drag shows already.
Mariah Carey allegedly isn't a legend but the following singers have either said she influence them to be singers and/or they have blatantly copied her vocal techniques: Beyonce, RIhanna, Ariana, Christina, Leona, etc.
Why is that nobody can come up with legitimate receipts when saying Mariah isn't a Legend?
"She's local"
"She's not charting on iTunes"
"She's not selling our arenas".
Watching people sit here and struggle to support with receipts is always entertaining.
"Legend" has become an overrated term, especially here. Britney has been phoning it in for about 7 years now. Her "longevity" is exaggerated, and her impact is limited to the teen pop era - one of those eras that isn't even looked back on in a good light. If it wasn't for the sales of her first two albums, no one would be calling her a "legend." An icon at best. Anybody can be an "icon," tho.
Britney's insane peak and ridiculous media coverage throughout her breakdown make her a legend. She was THE popstar. She is an icon of the Bush era. It makes no sense to downplay that. Her power was real. Even if you don't agree with the title or wording, she's certainly not forgotten and won't be any time soon.
Kind of. Britney's a legend in the same way Paris Hilton was, both were huge celebrities at one point.
The difference is that Britney also had a career along with that. She truly broke the barriers, being the biggest teen pop act of all time, then being the world's biggest sex symbol, then being the world's biggest tabloid celebrity, the biggest trainwreck.
Shame the comeback was never as big as it should have been, but she's done enough.
