i read tfios my freshman year of high school, literally the day it came out. i cried multiple times throughout the book but i remember thinking it was only okay. john green is not the amazing novelist people like to make him out to be. the book itself is very overrated and i'm not surprised the movie is getting treated the same way.
Yeah I didn't know much about John Green before this book and I hoped to like it to read his other ones but I have no interest. I love depressing literature (LOL) so I thought I would like it but I just couldn't find anything to like. I read reviews about people being shocked that one of the characters die. Its about teens with cancer, I thought that part would be obvious from the start.
It's still so sonically pleasing
