I like Taylor and hope Ariana has as much luck with her career, but Taylor's lyrics are mediocre at best. She has a nice voice that works for the type of music she makes and has been lucky commercially but Swifties get carried away with lauding her talent.

Except Ariana plays a huge role in producing her music and writing her songs. You tried and failed.

Ariana's lyrics are on the same level as Taylor's. They both sing generic love songs. Swifties need to stop propping Taylor up to be some kind of Bob Dylan-level lyricist when the girl writes love songs that don't even attempt to be deep. Her target audience is pre-teen and teen girls. At oldest, women in their early twenties figuring "boy stuff" out.

Just take it for what it is and stop using mediocre songwriting in a debate about talent.

Lol did you even bother to do a basic google search before you made this comment? Ariana was the main writer of Tattooed Heart and she is a credited writer on that as well as Right There, Almost Is Never Enough, Piano, and Better Left Unsaid.

And although she is not credited as a producer there are countless pictures and tweets by both her and the other producers of her in the studio working with them and interviews from others confirming that she has a say from big things to miniscule details.

So no hon. You failed.

Don't bother to clap back at me if you're not even going to make an attempt to not flop.

Edit: Also I hope you all realize that "The Rascals" who produce almost half of Ariana's music is just a name for Leon Thomas, aka one of Ariana's closest friends, and one of his friends. She controls every decision they make and is always there during the production process.
