Carrie is very big on country charts still.
There does seem to be some passive-aggressive stuff from Carrie's side but that's bound to happen when she probably is tired of having every mainstream media interviewer ask her about being compared to Taylor.
Carrie had a quote where she wanted to make it clear that they're different. Nothing anyone would disagree with. It just was hyped as passive-aggressiveness.
I respect Carrie greatly for trying something difficult with The Sound of Music Live. It was ultimately a success, as NBC and Fox will each be in the live televised musical game.
