Not shocking news - but it is about as unofficially official as you could have hoped....Taylor has confirmed to an Indonesian fan that blogs that her fifth album will be released in the Fall (Oct. or Nov.)

As much as I want new music, October/November is a great date because you don't want her overexposed because of The Giver.

We're still likely to get a single in Mid-August/Early-September if it is coming this Fall. She also probably wrote a song for The Giver's soundtrack. So there's really no escaping overexposure at this point, not that she shouldn't be overexposed at the start of an era. It's better than being underexposed.

That's true but I feel like she wasn't that overexposed right before the release of WANEBT... or was she? I wasn't a stan but all i remember was the Connor Kennedy fling.

I also don't want The Giver song because it would take away from the hype of LP5, unless it's a good song like Safe and Sound.

She wasn't overexposed before WANEGBT, but afterwards she certainly was. She was everywhere from early August till the album's release (and even so after that).

As for a Giver song, I definitely can see it being as amazing as S&S if she takes inspiration from the book. We'll see I guess

He also said Pharrell did too. For some reason I believe Sam Smith is going to outshine Ed this year. I never heard of him before he performed with Taylor in London.

I can def see a haunting song like S&S for The Giver It'll also set a good tone for the new era for her fans.

I'm from the US and I didn't know there was a Carrie vs Taylor war. Carrie's so irrelevant here. She was big when she first won American Idol and dated that Football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys who left her Jessica Simpson. But now or at least the last few years you never hear about her.
