What part of the country are you from? Redneck Australia is the WORST. Dads from Tenterfield and mums from Goulburn, both small country towns. Whenever I visit I stick out like a sore thumb, you hear the locals go 'oooh he's exotic' no hun, it's called knowing how to shower and leave the house looking presentable

Our recent charts have honestly been the best they've been in a very long time. We actually have some diversity now, it's not ruled by just one genre. One of my favourite things about our charts right now is that we have somewhat caught onto the british house wave ("I Got U", "Hideaway", "My Love", "Rather Be"), because I didn't expect the genre to get any international attention outside of the UK.

MY MUM IS IN GOULBURN RIGHT NOW I live in Singleton in the Hunter Valley, about 45 minutes from Newcastle. I am literally dragging myself around until I finish school so I can move.

and HOLY ****. THE AMOUNT OF AD SPINS GETS PLAYED IS DISGUSTING.
I swear I get in a solid 2 songs on a 45 minute drive, the rest is just talking about absolute bullcrap and ads ads ads ads and more ads. I've also noticed they removed the 2nd verse of some songs so the entire song plays for about 2 and a half minutes for I don't know what reason.

They also had a segment where people called in and talked about their catfishing experience (which is already obvious enough) and a private investigator goes out of their way to give everyone the expos3e

Nah I am in year 11 I still have my preliminary year then my HSC year to go then I am FREE.

As soon as I leave, I am never coming back. I am always finding ways to avoid my town, I go surfing every weekend (travel on the train early hours in the morning) just to feel freedom.
I feel so isolated and enclosed in my town.

Trying to make them feel intelligent my favourite is like O news or Scoopla where they literally read headlines straight from new idea/woman's day and make it sound like they have the exclusive. Then people ring up and ooh and ahh about Katy Perry being pregnant or want the juicy deets between a 'fueding' couple

I've noticed the amount of ads has increased recently, too. They used to be played at every 30 minute interval but now a bunch of ads are like 15 minutes apart.

About the "doof doof" thing, I find that funny because apparently EDM is "dead" to a lot of the users on here. It's actually thriving in Australia, but I've noticed that the hits are by producers/DJs who actually specialise in the genre, and not the "go-to" sound for popstars.

But I literally just looked at the top ten and I enjoy every single song in there. I don't know if my taste has drastically changed without me realising or if music quality increased or what, but that's where I'm at with current mainstream.

Especially happy for Dami and "Super Love", tbh.
