Nothing was messed up. If it would've debuted on iTunes, the most it would've peaked at was #3 and it would've stayed there for an extra day (than it already had).

This is true. The delay seemed like a disaster when it happened, but it really didn't affect anything in the long run. The song will most likely be a sleeper hit but it's got legs.

In hindsight, the release was actually fine. It was bad in the moment but Pills N Potions showing longevity is more important.
