I think people should realize Nicki is not a pop star, not anymore, so you can't expect all her singles to go 8x Platinum and stuff. I don't know how to express it, but I miss the 2011/2012 era so much. I really wish she hadn't teased us with the pop stuff, but nevertheless, she will still slay as a hip hop artist. Can't wait for VMAs, AMAs, EMAs and other awards so she can win all hip hop-related awards again. |
Next era/next year or even features. After this album is done, she can jump onto a few dance/dancey tracks and get back to top of charts.

Nah, I didn't mean it like that. I didn't mean that she should make dancey tracks again, it's just that I got used to Nicki being a "pop star". I need to realize that she won't get 10 million views a day anymore and won't be in the same category as Rih, Katy, Bey, etc.
But she will MURDER everyone in the hip hop community though  I seriously can't wait for all the award shows.

So, the video is coming Friday.
While I have been against the idea of releasing videos on Friday, I do see the logic. By releasing a video on Friday, you are pretty much ensuring that the streaming drop for the week after is very minimum thus you *typically* won't see a (drastic) drop with the chart position. As dumb as I thought it was, it is pretty smart.

Which means....
GMA tomorrow = interview, snippet of the video
Friday = release of the video
But, also, she might mean that her GMA interview will be on Friday idk. Nicki was very vague.

Thinking it over, does this mean we are just getting a snippet of the video on GMA Friday and the video still is whenever?

I think she means the video snippet will be on GMA on Friday. That's how I read it, at least.

But the difference is that PnP is already slaying. Debuted at #5 on the Rap charts, the audio already has ~5m views, and the airplay is fine. It peaked at #4 on iTunes (Nicki's highest peak yet).
