Trying to correct me was unnecessary. Liu Kang has always been considered the main protag.
That's like saying Wolverine isn't where all the backing is in X-men when we good and well know he is, no matter how much we prefer Jean Grey, Storm, and the rest.
I've always hated Liu Kang personally, and I've always hated Wolverine, but truth be told those characters are-- for some reason -- who they are to the series and will always be the accepted "heroes".
I just remember Chaosrealm annoying every **** out of me.
Shujinko was annoying and the ones in Armageddon don't count
