I was told Lorde had the performance of the night at the BBMAs, WHY is no one buying her sing? Was it all just propaganda to make people believe Lorde is talented/a good performer/not overrated as usual?
I never really understood why being prevalent in Europe makes you any less "local" than being prevalent in the US. The European Union is kind of like a wannabe US: split into states with the same GDP, but with less innovation, less influence on worldwide culture, and worse taste in music. How many people want The European Dream?
I do live outside the US, in Egypt, where we all know Taylor and download her albums upon release. Thankfully, nobody bothers to check for Rihanna albums here. Singles artist everywhere on the planet.
