Taylor is most definitely an album seller.

Her last album came out in 2012 + it was more successful than any Katy/Rihanna/Beyoncé record.

Actually yes. TD was promoted for 2 years with a re-release and a movie and still did only slightly better than LOUD which barely had an 8 month era. And each of Rihanna's releases (annually, mind you) end up selling at least 3M WW too. DWT had 96 shows and Katy's going for 200 just to end up with the same gross?

The video was released at the wrong time and there's been no promo outside the performance. The video should have been released the day after the performance (and a different video at that).

Birthday may have had the Katy Perry vibe but the chorus was lacking any punch. It was not as catchy. with all of her previous singles chorus was the main attraction that got stuck in your head, with Birthday verses were superior to the chorus tbh

TD was immensely more successful than LOUD. Singles, albums, etc. Rihanna did tour better though.
We don't know how many Katy's going to do, but if she does do anywhere close to 200, then her gross will be 200M+.

And even before the collabs Rih was perched in the top 5 while taylor was out of the top 30.
