What happened to the Simpsons is what happened to Spongebob, bad writing and lack luster to near unfunny storylines. Tragic.
It's even worse with SB, first 3 seasons are just sooooooooo good and then it just went horrible all of a sudden, like it was a completely different show. The Simpsons declined slower and it wasn't so noticeable at first.
The Simpsons probably still making money of everything they've put out the last 27 years, they could be financed from merchandise alone for the next 100 years.
Spongebob had so many good peaks. Their old episodes **** on anything the FO has released.
