Dark Horse is no dark song just because the title has word dark in doesn't make it darker than her other stuff.

Fun, Katy could never pull off "dark" music. It's why I don't understand why people demand a dark album from her, it'll clearly be awful and the least personal out of any of her albums. She's just not a dark person, fun, happy, upbeat Katy is the true Katy.

She can pull off a couple of dark(er) songs, Circle The Drain and I'm Still Breathing for example, but any more than one or two per album is pushing it.

BTGOG and Ghost are really the only darker songs on the album. You're confusing the worlds dark and mature

I don't see why people are always complaining about how she promised a dark album and didn't give one. She said herself that she let the light in and was inspired to use her struggles to make an empowerment record. If her heart was not in making a dark album and she was in a good place and a positive mindset than why would she make a dark album

I like her fun and dark songs which is why I think PRISM is her best album. It provides both.

Katy has had 3 fun, cotton candy eras and I'm getting kinda tired of that.
She COULD pull of a dark era.
it's just whether she's willing to take risks and be experimental.
I don't think she is but I hope she'll prove me wrong.
