Mayor Karen Williams has written to US pop star Pink asking her to join Redland City’s crusade to get its own service for victims of family and domestic violence.

In her letter to the singer, Cr Williams said she would change the city’s name to Pinklands for a day and even rename the city’s annual strawberry festival Pink Fest, to be held on September 6 to 8, if Pink visited.

It's so unfair 21t sold like 8m more than Back to Black when it's basically one of the best albums of all time (Frank is slightly better). I wish she graced us with more of her timeless classics. Adead had zero impact in comparison to Amy. She's still everything and influenced a whole generation.
