This is most likely to be the main problem.

New Zealand has two main islands, the North Island where most of the people live and the South Island which is home to most of the sheep.

No shade on the South Island, it has good Universities at Canterbury and Otago, great scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities and a lot of other things going for it, but there are more people living in or near Auckland, than there are in the whole South Island.

Perhaps Katy can fill stadiums, but most likely not that one in Dunedin.

Yeah Katy is really close to her family. That's what I love about her. She rather not have a booked Stadium Date on her resume than missing the holidays with her loved ones...just shows how humble she really is and that she focuses on what really matters in life instead of acting superior and keeping her status of the biggest pop star. & even if this is false she's never contradicted herself or showed disappointment towards her flops unlike others or has gone along when people praise her and call her the biggest female pop star in the world, Roar beating Applause, tweeting multiple times or at all to buy her singles (even though Capitol does but who really follows record labels?) ect.)

I applaud her for not letting fame get to her head and just being so normal. That's the reason ppl relate to her and love her because she's giving the prime example that just because she's a pop star doesn't mean that she's better than anyone else. That alone is the #1 reason why I will always stan for her. Though I wish she had more self confidence and claim her status but I love the way she is. She gives people hope and comfortability with her music and vision with all her all her projects My Queen.

She always does. The latest example, "Birthday won't go Top 20", Bam! Another successful flop from KT. It's like the more hate she gets the more her magic boils, sparkles, penetrates, lands ..(whichever way it works I don't know) against them. Katy doesn't have a huge enough fanbase as the Hive, Monsters, Beyhive, Navy and Army? Perhaps but I rather be categorized as an army of a Second World Stanbase than a First when you have the support of the general public behind you and making a difference on the charts and overall longevity than just making quick impact and fizzling out.

Dunedin isn't even that big a city what. She could have come to both Wellington and Christchurch over Dunedin. Crying though bc Dunedin is closer to me then Auckland so I probably would be going if she went to Dunedin ;(

Lol I live in Dunedin and there's usually nothing on over the summer and they beg for anyone to come to the stadium. I think Elton John is the only one to sell it out so far. Katy would probably sell it out even with Dunedin's small population because people would come from all over the country, especially if the only other NZ concerts were in Auckland. Seriously no one interesting comes here it would hyped to the max.
