Say not one single person that bought expensive tickets to the concert that supported the album they were getting were intending on purchasing that album, she still sold 170,000 albums in the US her first week.

ITunes was charting about 50,000 in sales of MDNA after 3 days (following the Super Bowl, pre sales) and I'm sure that was not just in the US. But lets take the entire 50,000 off of US Sales and off of the 170,000.

That leaves us at 120,000 without bundling and the Superbowl from a woman with nearly 10 more years in the business than Mariah.

I agree that it's going to be nearly impossible to break Madonna/Gaga's record particularly because her numbers are so low to begin with. If she sells 60,000 this week, she can get away with selling 12,000 the following week and her drop will just be 80%.
