Nah, that's a negative, son. Lady Gaga could have released awful tracks like "Black Jesus + Amen Fashion," "Fashion Of His Love," or "Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)" as the first single from "Born This Way" and it would have still performed the same way as the "Born This Way" single. The hype was too great for any first single to fail, which is why a terrible song like "Born This Way" was still successful regardless of its dated, reductive, and heavily criticized lyrics and production.
