"Feel better" in this case means avoiding suicide or avoiding another instance of attempted suicide. If everyone with glasses was beaten, and murdered, and harassed in the bathrooms, or when they wore contacts people would remove them and ask them if their eyesight is "real" or if they're just fooling people about their eyesight, then I guarantee that you'd be 100% for a procedure that made them "feel better" because they'd be able to pass for having eyesight easier. Stop acting like gender is just some thing that people will accept and that this isn't absolutely necessary for the trans people who need it to feel safe and who want it to be able to pass for their gender in public. Please explain to every trans person that has felt unsafe, who has attempted suicide because they can't deal with the depression and body dysmorphia, that this is just about "feeling better" and because of it they don't deserve to have this procedure covered.
