That Mel interview with the NYT was kind of interesting. I had no idea they weren't legit friends. If he chooses to move onto something new I wish him the best of luck. He's really helped Rih establish herself as a name in fashion and I think we as fans should be super thankful for that.

Rih had stellar looks prior to Mel coming around, and I'm sure she'll look good if he leaves. I'm certainly not worried about that.

Only Girl hasn't aged at all as far as the studio recording is concerned. It still gets played in clubs when I go out. The live version though...she shouldn't perform europop and/or EDM with a live-band. It kills what makes the song so great. The "la-la, la, laa" hook in Only Girl is everything.

I disagree

The studio production on those songs is incredible. It's like when you're at a music festival, seeing Avicii or deadmau5 live is a completely different experience to seeing Mumford and Sons or Kings of Leon live. If Avicii played 'Levels' live with guitars, drums, a keyboardist, etc. you would be like "wow, this is amazing" but it's not the version that you've come to know and love. It's an electronic song so you want to hear its production.

That's just my opinion anyway

I think it's refreshing when artists rework on the arrangement for live performances. Sure, I want to hear the original performed at some point too, especially if the song is a staple and performed often. Acoustic renditions are also very welcome, even for the electronic songs. I wish she had actually released an acoustic version for WFL. Distrubia at AOL Sessions is a prime example how well it can pay off.
