Hold on for a minute sis. Are you telling me ARTPOP is not commercial? Didn't Stefani say herself that the songs were all radio friendly and meant to be hits.

But she also said she doesn't write for the charts. So which of us is right? Don't play dumb, you know that EDM sound on ARTPOP is dated and not commercial. Doesn't mean it's bad, it's just not for the current climate of the industry.

Watch GaGa come back in 1-2 years and completely obliterate all her competition, kind of like Cher did in the late 90s, but with longevity afterwords and of course on a much smaller time scale.
She also needs to bring back the songwriters from The Fame/The Fame Monster.

She had so much hype with Applause, and that song had every bit of nostalgic EDM pop that The Fame Gaga was known for, but it could not carry itself to number 1. The thing is the public never really connects Gaga with anything else other than EDM pop, and now that ARTPOP with its EDM lushness did not seem to put her back on her throne, then one might think that she may probably have a hard time getting another big hit. She tried r&b/urban with DWUW, and that didn't work too.

Why did she beg her Monsters to buy Applause? Telling them to request, post screen shots of them buying it, even offering the person who bought Applause the most to one of her shows. Hell, even a member of Billboard called her out for cheating cause she was hungry for that #1. Don't come in here and say she doesn't care for the charts, where we all know she's checking daily on ARTPOP's position

People are trying to shade her by saying "lol never" but her fans are also kidding themselves when they pick a song off ARTPOP and say "when she releases *this*" Remember how sure you all were of G.U.Y hitting #1 and being her big comeback? And now you're in threads saying "G.U.Y wasn't a single." The absolute backpeddle of it all.

The real answer is when Gaga works with better cowriters and a completely different producer to DJWS. She can't keep doing the same style of music, especially when it's not working for her anymore. Maybe she can discover new producers, but like I said before, I want ha to work with Darkchild and make something inspired by early 2000s RnB. That would absolutely slé.

I guess no one has learned that you can never say never in pop music. Madonna was supposedly dead and buried after Erotica, so was Mariah after Glitter. And those were much bigger flops than ARTPOP. It wouldn't be wise to ever count someone out.

Fame + Monster are the albums that Gaga wrote, along with Fusari, RedOne, Cowboy and Kierszenbaum (producers).

Gaga definitely won't be working with Fusari again, that's for sure. RedOne is a possibility, he did well with Gypsy.
