Actually no. Tanya is much like the Edenians, yes, but she is so different. Her role in MK4 was so crucial, and honestly more crucial than any other female character before her. Most of them played the typical "pawn" role, but she was the one who went one step further. Yes she ended up playing the fool, but being a traitor to Edenia made her different. There's so much she they can do with her, and her moveset was Totally unique and left field. She's the only Edenian that plays with fire and can do crazy acrobatics. It's amazing.
Frost needs to stay dead along with Mavado and the rest of the new Black dragon. A damn mess at NRS even thinking about including those D-Class clowns.
Frost is a fan favorite, and I'm sure she'll probably be in, but she was so unnecessary. The whole betrayal was so last minute and they didn't do much to build on it, so it's pointless. Plus with the new storyline, she won't make any sense since Sub-Zero is still a cyborg (Which I hope they change. I need Human Subby )
Are they going to keep the "current" story? You know, the one that had Sindel slaughtering 7/9 MK characters in less than 2 minutes… i.e. a game without Jade, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Kabal, Jax, Nightwolf & Stryker (although the last one could definitely leave…)

Even I can admit that Frost was Sub Zero with boobs. Which is why I think they could do better and I really don't think she will return due to that reason alone.
Sub Zero needs to be human again it just doesn't feel right that he's a cyborg.

That would really suck from a fan favorite point of view.
They shouldn't pull a tekken 3 unless the replacements are just as good if not better.
